Niav owens biography

Niav Owens joined the team a few years ago as an admin assistant while she finished her communications degree at Newcastle University. Since then she has skipped between lots of different roles at the station, always hanging about the place and basically refusing to leave. In she was lucky enough to join fellow Newcastle Uni students as a volunteer at the Beijing Olympic Games, working with the media at the weightlifting venue and adoring every minute of it.

Niav has always loved sport, can think of nothing better than spending her weekends at the side of a cricket pitch or watching the NRL, and has decided that she never wants to miss another Olympic Games.

Is niav owens married

Niav produces the Saturday Breakfast show with Craig Hamilton and loves all of the sport content that they get to discuss. She can also be found hanging around the broadcast box at Knights home games, watching the footy and listening to the great Grandstand call of the action. She finds travel, sport and good conversation irresistible, and dreams of one day finding a job that combines all three.

After initial horror at the many buttons and faders on the desk in front of her, and a propensity for playing Bernard Fanning tracks over and over again, Niav now loves the early mornings, as well as spending her afternoons at country race meetings and getting to know the locals.
